cardiovascular fitness
Cardiovascular fitness refers to the ability of your heart, lungs and organs to consume, transport and unilize oxygen. The maximum volume of oxygen your body can consume and use is your VO2 Max. When you exercise regularly, you can increase your cardiovascular fitness as your heart becomes more efficient at pumping blood and oxygen to the body, and the body becomes more efficient at using oxygen.

progressive resistance training
This is a strength training method in which the overload is constantly increased to facilitate adaptation. Progressive resistance is essential for building muscle and reaching goals. The body attempts to exescise and needs to be constantly challenged in order to continue to grow and change. There are many ways to achieve progressive resistance.

F.I.T.T principle
The F.I.T.T principle is one of the foundations of exercise. A set of guidelines that help you set up a workout routine to fit your goals and fitness level while helping you get the most out of your exercise programme.
F.I.T.T stands for:
FREQUENCY: How often you train
INTENSITY: How hard you work during exercise
TIME: How long you exercise
TYPE: The type of activity you're doing

Boxercise
Boxercise is a non contact exercise class using boxing gloves and pads. It's fun and suitable for all ages and levels or fitness, allowing the body to de-stress, increase energy levels, improve hand eye co-ordination, increase cardiovascular intake, tone up and burn those all important calories.

About ViciFitness
Hi I'm Ryan, a Mobile master personal trainer. I know that thinking about joining a gym can sometimes be a daunting thought, especially if you are new to exercise. That's why hiring a personal trainer could be the answer.
Many new gym members start as they mean to go on but all too often end with little motivation to continue, and as such pay for a service that they may not be using. This is where hiring a personal trainer comes into its own, offering a one to one, personal approach. Whatever your age, fitness level or exercise abilities ViciFitness personal training can help you achieve your goals, however big or small.
There's strong scientific evidence that being physically active can help you lead a healthier and even happier life. Research shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing your risk of stress and depression.
How I got started
Following an accident five years ago I suffered problems with nutrition and extreme weight loss. I was run-down, drained, lethargic, unmotivated and generally feeling quite low!
It was then that I realised I needed to take control by regaining my health and physical well being through exercise and a sensible, healthy life style plan. I started regularly attending the gym and felt my confidence grow daily as my body developed and my fitness and mental well-being grew through training. It was a great success.
This quickly became my passion, and what I was living for and thinking about all day. Becoming a qualified Personal Trainer was the next logical step. I want to be able to promote health and fitness and its benefits, and to help others realise and achieve the life-changing experience that fitness can give you, both mentally and physically.

Recommendations
I needed to improve my fitness to compete in sporting events. I heard Ryan had started up as a personal trainer so thought I would give it a trial. Having had 12 sessions with Ryan my overall fitness is much improved; I have lost four kilos in weight during this period of one month. I would strongly recommend Ryan for his ability to coach and integrate into your life and improve you to whatever level of fitness you require.

I contacted Ryan in a bid to help me lose weight, get fitter and to help ease tension and my bad moods. Ryan's friendly manner put me at ease immediately, and with his continued encouragement and praise, I have started to reach my goals.
I have now completed my initial four week course and I am amazed by how much better I feel as well as how much I have started enjoying exercising. So much so, I have booked further sessions.

I am really enjoying my sessions with my personal trainer, Ryan. Having never done anything like this before I wasn't sure what to expect and whether I would like it. The fact is, I love it! Each session varies slightly to keep it interesting but we start with some core strength work at home, then head outside for some cardiovascular work and we finish with some great stretches. Ryan is able to encourage me to push myself to do more than I would do on my own which gives me a great sense of satisfaction and achievement. I'm already starting to see the benefits. The hour session flies by and has a great mix of humour and hard work! I highly recommend Ryan.
